Grammar
**Comparatives
When there are 2 items that are being compared with each other, if the adjective is short we will add “…er+than” in order to compare with each other:
*Short adjectives(with 1-2 syllables)”: tall, short, small, big…
This dog is bigger than that dog.
My pencil is longer than my ruler.
That train is faster than the other one.
Pronunciation
When Double “e” (ee) appears in the word, we must drag the “e” sound :
green
Three
cheese
feet
Reading
when there are 2 of the same letters, when we are spelling the word, we shouldn’t repeat the letter 2 times, instead we say double:
cheese: C-H-double E- S-E
Writing exercise
In English, we don’t use sentences that are too short. Instead we connect them with “and” provided that we have two or three relevant sentences that are all positive or all negative:
I am seven. My sister is nine:
I am seven and my sister is nine.
