Writing exercise

This
is my fourth year working in Agilent, and I am happy to report that my
performance has improved over the past 12 months.

During the course of my work this year, I have consistently shown commitment and motivation. I met all my deadlines and objectives on time.

I have been working on myself to gather as much information as possible to
improve my job functions and how I handle the tasks. My passion for my work
always helps me to stay motivated. Hence, even when I meet difficult challenges, I
always find ways to get back to the desk and get things done. I am always mindful of my duties as a legal counsel and stay on task all the time. Motivated by my passion for my work, I am willing to do outside of my own job duties.

I focus on the right long-term solutions to resolve a problem as quickly as possible
without further complications. This helps me to accelerate my tasks when an
unforeseen issue arrives.

I am always considerate of my colleagues and make sure I find a solution that suits other team’s needs.

I went above and beyond to help CSD get the information or solution they’re
looking for. In particular, for the EODB program, I significantly improved the efficiency of the ordering process.

There are several areas where I believe I can make more improvements on.
Firstly, when I’m in the middle of work, especially when writing long legal documents, I tend to get frustrated by interruptions. When I receive a phone call in the middle of my task, I’ve noticed that sometimes I try to end the conversation
quickly so I can get back to my work. In the coming year, I will work on my time management skills so I can better arrange and organize my work duties.

Secondly,
I recognize that in order to decrease the number of small careless mistakes, I need to improve on how I proofread my work. I am planning to
make grammar and spell checks a routine part of my review process.
