After reading Afghanistan’s news, I feel extremely lucky that I was born and raised in Taiwan. We have freedom of speech and can do whatever we want to do. All human should have equal rights of life and be treated equally in every aspect. It’s hard to believe how women in Afghanistan were treated unfairly while Taliban rules the country 20 years ago, for example, forbidding girls to attend school, banning women from working, women have to travel with a male chaperone, women even have to wear hijab by covering all over their body when they go out, and the worst part is taking little girls away from their families, for basically for marriage or rape.

In fact, women has been treated unequally all over the world in history, we have feminist movement campaign and continue to campaign for women right which includes the right to vote, hold public office, work, earn equal pay, have equal rights within marriage, and maternity leave, legal abortions and to protect women and girls from rape, sexual harassment, and domestic violence, etc. It’s 21st century, feminism is getting stronger all over the world, yet there are still women are treated unequally. Just not long ago, Taliban has taken over the government of Afghanistan and will rule the country again, the women there must be terrified and helpless. I hope there are human rights organizations or countries that can help them flee Afghanistan as soon as possible. I would be happy to donate to these efforts.

God bless Afghanistan women and hope they can a bright future.

After reading news in/about Afghanistan, I feel extremely lucky that I was born and raised in Taiwan. There is freedom of speech and can do whatever we want to do. All humans should have equal rights of life and be treated equally in every aspect. It’s hard to believe how women in Afghanistan were treated unfairly during the Taliban rule(noun) of the country 20 years ago, for example, forbidding girls to attend school, banning women from work, requiring women to travel with a male chaperone and wear hijab that covers/to cover all of their body when they go out. The worst part is taking little girls away from their families, for possibly/probably marriage or rape.

In fact, women has been treated unequally all over the globe in history, we have feminist movement campaign and continue to campaign for women right which includes the right to vote, hold public office, work, earn equal pay, have equal rights within marriage, and maternity leave, legal abortions and to protect women and girls from rape, sexual harassment, and domestic violence, etc. It’s 21st century, feminism is getting stronger all over the world, yet there are still women are treated unequally. I hope there are human rights organizations or countries that can help them flee Afghanistan as soon as possible. I would be happy to donate to these efforts.

In fact, women has been treated unequally all over the world in history, there are numerous feminist movement campaigns and many continuous campaigns for women rights which includes the right to vote, hold public office, work, earn equal pay, equal treatment within marriage, and maternity leave, legal abortions and protection from rape, sexual harassment, and domestic violence, etc. It’s 21st century, feminism is getting stronger all over the world, yet there are still women being treated unequally. Not so long ago, Taliban has taken over the government of Afghanistan and will rule the country again, the women there must be terrified and helpless. I hope there are human rights organizations or countries that can help them flee Afghanistan as soon as possible. I would be happy to donate to these efforts.

God bless Afghanistan women and hope they can a bright future.
