In my opinions I know kung fu is a fringe culture because I know there are less people to learn the kung fu. In the past. However I know foreigner always think it was a popular culture in China. Actually it is not. Normal Chinese didn’t learn the Kung fu and they will learn the knowledge like what foreigner do.

Correction –

In my opinion kung fu is a fringe culture, because I know there were even very few people who did kung fu in the past./ Even in the past not many people did kung fu.  However I know some foreigners always thought it was a popular thing in China, but actually it was not. The average Chinese person didn’t learn Kung fu and they learn the same things as foreigners do.

Grammar

I like to eat hamburgers to feel full.

There are people learning kung fu to defend themselves.

I went to the store to buy some food to cook some dinner to impress a girl to get her to be my girlfriend to make my ex girlfriend jealous.

I eat food to be healthy to build muscle to be better looking to attract more girls.

Eg:   this cup is used to drink water.

For:

eg: This cup is used for drinking.

I went to Beijing for work.    (General meaning)

I went to Beijing to do some work.    (More details)

I went there for the soup dumplings. (General meaning, we guess it’s to eat them)

I went there to learn how to make soup dumplings.  (More details show us that it’s not about eating them)
