Vocabulary

If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. 

shock value – jokes that use shocking things to get a laugh

lowbrow humor – low class or level jokes, Fart jokes, stupid jokes

foreshadowing – some hints in a story that will have big events later in the story

eg: His father’s death was foreshadowed.

tenure – something a teacher can achieve after a lot of experience, basically means they are guaranteed a job, unless they commit some gross misconduct.

eg: He became bold with his tenure, and his classes became less and less useful.

Questions: 

When did Goodenough revolutionize the electronics industry?

He didn’t, his invention led to a revolution, and we don’t know exactly when it happened.

Why did Goodenough not care about getting rich?

Because it’s not his dream and he thinks a house enough food and a job is fair enough. He was content with a normal life.

Who has ownership rights to the patent being filed?

It is the intellectual property of UT Austin.

How is this new technology groundbreaking?

It’s the first ever solid state battery. It used glass components instead of liquid. The capacity and recharge time outdoes any current battery of that size.
