Vocabulary

close down – stop operating, close forever
eg: The brother’s company is closed down, so the government can take it over.
take over – to take control of something
eg: I will take over as CEO next month.
only have so much/many … -to express a limited amount of sth. / Not unlimited
There are only so many…
eg: We only have so much time for lunch, so I don’t think we can go there, it’s too far away.
eg: There is only so much money in the budget.
step down – to resign or leave a position or job
eg: The guy’s wife is pregnant, so he stepped down and was going to take care of his wife for a few months.
Ineffective- If something does not work well.
eg. The sun lotion was ineffective at preventing me from getting a sunburn
Circulation– When something (usually air or liquid) moves around inside a space.
eg. In the winter my feet and hands get cold as I have poor blood circulation.
Breeze – A soft wind
eg. Today was hot but there was a lovely cool breeze
Rudimentary- Fundamental.
eg. Learning grammar rules are rudimentary for understanding English.
Complexion – The categorization of a persons skin, color, tone and smoothness.
