OpenF2F Class Notes 9th August (Celeste)

Original

Last class I read a piece of news about health from the website. Everybody knows health is the most thing to us. It is much more important than wealth and good jobs. But we always forgot it when we happy, excited or sad.
Sometimes, we ate a lot of harmful food, like Hamburgers, Icecream, instant noodles. We didn’t care them because they are yummy.
Sometimes, we were enjoying lying on bed and couches as they both made us relaxed and comfortable. At that moment, we forget to do some exercises.

Last class I read a piece of news about health from a website. Everybody knows health is the most important thing to us. It is much more important than wealth and good jobs/careers. But we always forget about our health when we are happy, excited and sad.
Sometimes, we eat a lot of harmful/unhealthy/junk food, like hamburgers, ice cream, and instant noodles. We don’t care about our health/eating junk food because it is yummy.
Sometimes, we enjoy lying on the bed and couches as they both make us feel relaxed and comfortable. At that moment,  we usually forget to exercise.

live life to the fullest – do the things that make you happy because we only have one life to live

everything in moderation – not too much of something, not too little, a good amount

health, wealth – ***please remember to keep your tongue in between your teeth for the ‘l’ and ‘th’

fries  ( fr – eyes ) – fried potato sticks

Always – I always eat ice cream in the summer.

Sometimes – I sometimes go to bed early. I sometimes go to bed late.

Last year, I always got up early.

Allison’s Edited Writing

There is a Chinese story about a farmer who pulls up the rice shoots in the/his fields to help them grow faster, which backfired on the rice shoots because they all withered. It tells us that everything in the world should follow the natural rules to develop. If we are eager to promote their growth, we will get the adverse results.

As we all know, education is becoming more important in this day and age. Due to the importance of education, many parents want their children to learn more than other children in advance. Large amounts of early education companies and schools are established throughout China to appeal to parents. Children who are from 3 to 6 years old, some of them even wearing diapers, are sent to these companies by parents to learn math, English, drawing and so on. Many parents ignore developing children’s characters and helping children maintain good habits, and instead pay more attention to the knowledge that children can get. I think sending children to early education companies to gain over loaded knowledge is breaking the rule of children’s growth. Same as the Chinese story that I mentioned above/before/previously, sometimes it may affect their happy childhood.

In this day and age = in modern times
