Do people in your country usually throw away broken equipment or do they usually get it repaired (or try to repair it themselves)?

I think nowadays ppl prefer to get the new equipment instead of trying to repair them bc today the physical resources is richer than before and also ppl have more money than before. So, if they can get the new one they tend to not bother to repair the equipment. For example, if my washing machine is broken I would buy a new one bc if I it could take me some times to find a repair shop and I must take the machine to the shop and wait for it to get repaired. The whole process is not only waste my time and during the time I can’t do my laundry. So getting a new one is the quickly efficient way to get the whole thing done.

Nowadays when people broke their equipment, they prefer to get a new one instead of try to repair the broken ones. One of the reasons is people are richer than before and the resources also are more abundant. In addition, getting the new equipment is more effective than repair them. For example, if I broke my cell phone, I can immediately buy a new one on alibaba or Jingdong, the most amazing part is not how quick and conviniet it is, it actually it I have plenty of choices for the new cell phone. On the other hand, if I send my cell phone to get repaired, there will be a period that I have to suffer from without it and I might miss some phone calls from work or family. I think that is why people would get new equipment rather than repairing them.
