Firecrackers and fireworks

Since last year it was the second time there was no firecrackers and fireworks in shanghai in Chinese New Year. In fact It was very strange for me , because I have did firecrackers and fireworks during Chinese New Years since my childhood. But there are a lot of good things for us , such as clean air and streets , quite and safety. Before last year , we couldn’t sleep during Chinese New Years, and there was a lot of rubbish in streets in the next morning. Firecrackers and fireworks are very interesting but many people died in fires every year. Especially, it is very good for environment protection. Firecrackers and fireworks have become history in shanghai, and children never knew these interesting things.

But there are a lot of benefits for us, such as clean air and streets, quite nights and safe neighborhoods. Before last year, we couldn’t sleep during Chinese New Year, and there was a lot of rubbish in the streets the next morning. Firecrackers and fireworks are very fun/exciting/dangerous but many people die in fires every year. The firework ban is especially good for environmental protection. Firecrackers and fireworks have disappeared and have become history in Shanghai, and today’s children will never know these things or have these experiences.
