Things to remember:

Be careful to not chop the first syllable off of words.

Ex.“improve” not “prove.” “Warcraft” not “craft”

After “some”, countable things should be plural.

Ex. I want some apples. I want some books.

Ex. I want some bread OR I want some slices of bread (bread is not a       countable noun).

I want some help. (Abstract nouns are not countable, like help or love).

Pronunciation

Fashion (long “a” sound like in apple)

“Y” is pronounced like “I”

Ex. Money (mon-ee), city (sit-ee)

“Th” pronunciation

Ex. Practice saying “think” and “sink.” They should not sound the same.

Vocabulary

Social

Meaning: involving other people

Ex. He goes so many friend, he must really care about his social life.

Opposing

Meaning: to be at odds, to be opposites

Ex. There are two opposing teams.

Grammar

Ways to use the word “half”

Ex. A year and a half (1.5 years).

Ex. Half a year (0.5 years).

Ways to use “once” or “twice”

Ex. I go to visit my family once/twice a month.

Note: if the number if 3 or bigger, you should say 3 times a month, 4 times a month, etc.

Original:

The movie of wow(World of Warcraft )will be on show in the beginning of June. As a big fan of this game, I am expected to see it. There are two opposites in the game –The horde looks ugly but brave, and the alliance is beautiful and powerful. They never tried to fight with each other in the game, and people even worry that they can’t be peaceful in the cinema. As for me, I have bought the NPC(non-player character) T shirt to claim the neutral attitude. After all, the most important thing is to enjoy the magic movie.
