OpenF2F Class Notes 20th February (Celeste)

Today I’m writing about my hometown. It’s called La Coruña. It’s a small city placed on the northwest coast of Spain, right over Portugal. The city is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and it’s known for its big port, where huge cruises with thousand of tourists arrive everyday. The city is also known for its beautiful wild beaches where the water is freezing. Every year, surfers from all over the world come to La Coruña to participate in the most important surf competitions.
The weather is mild. Autumns and winters are humids and the city is often hit by strong winds and rainfalls coming from the ocean. However, summers are sunny and dry.Temperatures are moderated and they never go over 30 degrees in summer.
People are warm and polite. In fact, La Coruña is called “the city where nobody is a stranger”.
La Coruña is also known for its gastronomy. The city is full of restaurants where people can eat all kinds of seafood and fishes.
I love my city and I hope to be back soon.
