heroine ( hair – oh – in ) and hero

“Influence”

I read a book named “Influence”, which tells of how people are influenced by others, especially on business and sales.

“Reciprocation”, a theory I got from this book, explained how comes people will buy something they don’t really want to buy. There are two points of this theory.

Firstly, “do the first favor – ask repayment”. In my case, once while I was doing weightlifting at a gym, a trainer asked me if I wanted to have an trial class because he found my action was a little problem. I was a rookie by the time, so I accepted to his invention. After the class, he asked to buy his class. It was quite hard to refused his request, because I felt obligated to “help” him as he gave me a free class. Once someone gives you a favor, you will have a obligation to repay him because of the social pressure.

The other one is “large-small”. This time, we don’t need to do other’s a favor, just provide a huge requirement that no one will accepted, and then, give a small requirement, it is more acceptable and easier make others accept it than you ask it directly.

It’s a useful book. It can reminder me a lot of case happened to me

“Influence”

I read a book named “Influence”, which tells of how people are influenced by others, especially in business and sales.

“Reciprocation”, a theory I got from this book, explained how come people will buy something they don’t really want to buy. There are two points of this theory.

Firstly, “do the first favor – ask for repayment”. In my case, once in a while I lift weights at my gym, and this one time a trainer asked me if I wanted to have a trial class because he found my actions were incorrect. I was a rookie at that time, so I accepted his invitation. After the class, he asked me to buy his class. It was quite hard to refused his request, because I felt obligated to “help” him as he gave me a free class. Once someone does you a favor, you will have an obligation to repay him because of the social pressure.

The other one is “large-small”. This time, we don’t need to do others a favor, just ask a huge requirement that no one will accept, and then, give a small requirement, which is more acceptable and easier. This makes others accept the smaller request rather than asking directly.

For example, if I ask someone to give $100 that is too large of an amount of money. Then, if I ask someone to give me $1 that is easy to give.
It’s a useful book. It reminds me about a lot of situations that happened to me.
