A new years resolution – a goal or task that you wish to achieve this year

Resolute – to be resolute – to be determined and strongly set on achieving something.
Ex. I am resolute about my belief in the power of people to change the world
Ex. He is resolute about his attending university this year even though he can’t afford it right now

Status – your position in society, social standing
Ex. I hope to get a promotion this year as I would like to raise my status
Ex. I need to raise my status in this company first before I look for a new job as I am worried about starting at the bottom again

Excercise – to do physical activities to get healthier and fitter
Ex. Yesterday I started a new excercise regime, it includes push ups and sit-ups and planking

Regime – an organised set of something such as excercises or homework
Ex. I have a new homework regime which helps me practice every night

In the normal days, there were so many people in the metro in the time of working day morning. It was very crowd. However , as the spring festival is coming, and many people had went back to their hometown, so this morning there were much less people than normal days in the metro. And in the office, there were also much less people, only have half. During the last three years, I hadn’t went back home in the spring festival. I miss the relatives, friends, tasty food and everything in the hometown. Next Spring festival I decide to go and see them.

On a normal day, there are usually so many people in the metro system in the mornings of working days. It was very crowded, however, as the spring festival is coming and many people will go back to their hometown, so this morning there were much less people than normal in the metro. And in the office, there were also much less people, only half attended. During the last three years, I haven’t gone back home in the spring festival. I miss the relatives, friends, tasty food and everything in my hometown. Next Spring festival I have decided to go and see them.
