I decided to go to Chiengmai for a trip with my friend and booked hotel and air tickets last month. Unfortunately the king of Thailand passed away several days ago. It was heard that Thai people had been in deep sorrow as they love their king indeed. Thailand government published a decree that people should wear black and white clothes to express condolence and all the entertainment activities will be forbitted in a month such as celebrations, night markets and drinking is also be banned. After having gotten this news, We were truely sad and my friend complained with me that she was confused about what things we can do in Chiengmai. But I got the new information from wechat moments that the night markets would be opened as usual. It might be a good new that there will be less people there.
