By the time we walked to the bike, someone else had already unlocked it.

The place had been renewed/ renovated.

That restaurant serves as a wedding venue.

My father has both biological parents and foster parents. He is closer to his foster parents than to his biological ones.

a sense of responsibility

take care of = be in charge of

I feel I am on an equal footing with them.

It’s as if adulthood kicked in. It’s not intentional, you just see it happen. Some moments like this really hit home.

A wrong movie

I’ve worked for 7days. I really needed a relaxing night for myself, so I chose a movie that I always wanted to watch.

It has a very good reputation on a movie comment site, getting a 8.8points out of 10. I expected to see it. However, I felt a little bit weird, as it was not as good as my expectation, even a little boring. But I still try to keep my hope. Maybe it would have a fantastic ending, which could compensate the disappointment of first half part, I told myself.

A science fiction film, the Heroine took a lot of actions to help the people in her town when falling stone constantly fell down from the sky. Eventually, the biggest stone burned out in the sky. Everyone survived. What a happy ending and what a stereotyped.

It was so stupid that I was trying to convince myself that it was a good movie, and finding the good part or details of it, but I failed.

It turned out I watched a wrong movie with the same name. It really wasted my time and ruined my “movie night”.

A wrong movie

I’ve worked for 7 days. I really needed a relaxing night for myself, so I chose a movie that I had always wanted to watch.

It had a very good reputation on a movie rating site, getting a 8.8 points out of 10. I expected to see it. However, I felt a little bit weird, as it was not as good as my expectation, even a little boring. But I still tried to keep hope. Maybe it would have a fantastic ending, which could compensate for the disappointment of the first half part, I told myself.

In that science fiction film, the heroine took a lot of actions to help the people in her town when falling asteroids constantly fell down from the sky. Eventually, the biggest stone burned out in the sky. Everyone survived. What a happy ending and what a stereotyped ending / stereotype.

It was so stupid that no matter how hard I tried to convince myself that it was a good movie and to find the good parts or details of it, I failed to do so.

It turned out I had watched another movie with the same name. It really wasted my time and ruined my “movie night”.
