Original version

Dropping off books

A Wechat official account set up an activity to encourage people to read books. They dropped 10 thousands books on the public transportation, including Didi taxi, ships and mainly, metro, to appeal people find and read them. They also invited some celebrities to spread this initiative out through Weibo.

Unfortunately, to certain extent, it was not a successful activity. Although it has attracted enough attention and gone viral on social media, a big part of people doubted this so-called “pro bono”. They think it is a commercial activity. The real objective is to acquire more fans for the Wechat account. In addition, it is blamed to steal a similar idea from outboard.

Actually, I think it is a good imitative. It is ok, even if its real goal is to make money. People get continuous good content from this Wechat account for free. Why they don’t allow it to be commercial? Also, what they did is for encouraging people to be better. I totally support this initiative.
