Original version
I used to work part-time job in a ramen restaurant in Japan. My job was to assist the chef, including preparing the ingredients, boiling the noodles and cleaning the kitchen after we finished our business.
I thought it was really easy for me to do although I never did a physical work, but unfortunately I screwed it up on the very first day. I knocked a bottle of important spicy oil which was made by the chef and it took him a lot of time.
I was pretty embarrassed and I watched him fearly and nervously. Not surprisingly, I was fired but I didn’t want to accept that because it happened when I just got to Japan, I really needed this job
I experienced my strong willing to do this job and I asked for another chance. Likely, he was convinced by my sincerity
Luckily, my boss accepted.
I bent my back forward to finish my job. It wasn’t perfect but the chef recognized my performance and let me continue working for him. I learned a lot out of this failure experience.
I have to be serious for everything, even though it looks like easy to do and I have to prove myself instead of giving it up when I fail.
So this is a big lesson for me.

I used to work a part-time job in a ramen restaurant in Japan. My job was to assist the chef, including preparing the ingredients, boiling the noodles and cleaning the kitchen after we finished our shifts.
I thought it was really easy for me to do although I had never had a physical job, but unfortunately I screwed it up on the very first day. I knocked a bottle of important spicy oil which has been made by the chef and it had taken him a lot of time.
I was pretty embarrassed and I watched him fearfully and nervously. Not surprisingly, I was fired but I didn’t want to accept that because it had happened when I had just got to Japan and I really needed this job.
I expressed my strong will to do this job and I asked for another chance. Luckily, my boss was convinced by my sincerity and he accepted.
The next day, I bent over backwards to finish my job. It wasn’t perfect but the chef recognized my performance and let me continue working for him. I learned a lot out of this experience of failing / of a failure.
I learned I have to be serious for everything, even if it looks like easy to do. Also, I have to prove myself instead of giving it up when I fail.
So this was a big lesson for me.
