Visiting my grandfather’s and grandmother’s grave

We visited my grandfather’s and grandmother’s grave this morning. It is a little far from city center and took us one and half hour to get there by metro.

It is the first time we visited them since we got married. We should go there around 4th April, but we are going on a trip at that time, so we went visit them in advanced. We took some fruit, water and food for paying our respect. It is a huge cemetery, clean and peaceful. We cleaned the grave and burned some fake money to them (Chinese people believe that dead men live in another world and they also need money to use). We bowed, said goodbye to them and told them we would visit them again in December which is another traditional day to pay respects for our family members who passed away.
