apnoea (app – knee – a)
diabetes (dahy – uh – bee – tiz): an illness where people react to sugar differently. Either they need more sugar, or their body can’t handle eating it.
ex: People who drink their coffee with too much sugar might get diabetes.
ex: People who eat too many desserts may get diabetes.
threatening (: a threat to something.
life threatening = a threat to someones life
ex: Diabetes could be life threatening.
ex: Cancer is threatening to someone’s health.
suicide (soo – uh – sahyd)
moderate (mod – er – it)
consumption: to consume, to take something into your body. Like eating. Also used to talk about using something up.
ex: Vegetarians consumption of vegetables is high.
premature: before it is fully grown.
ex: The baby was born premature.
mature: fully grown, or the right age.
ex: A cat usually matures in 1 year.
decades: one decade = a time period of ten years. Decades is a way to say many years, or many periods of ten years.
ex: They have been in love for decades.

component: an ingredient, or an important part of something.
ex: My car has many different components.
ex: This meal has a lot of components.
caffeinated (kaf – uh – ney – tid)
