Grammar
In English grammar, countable nouns are individual people, animals, places, things, or ideas which can be counted. Uncountable nouns are not individual objects, so they cannot be counted.
- Countable: book, orange, bag, pillow, chair, table, cup, computer, watch, t-shirt, fan, room, school, house, etc.
- Non-Countable: sand, water, juice, milk, sugar, butter, air, time, money, etc
Much Vs. Many
- We use many when we are talking about countable nouns.
- E.g.: There are too many people in this place. / I have so many things to do today!
- We use much when we are talking about non-countable nouns.
- E.g.: How much is it for this skirt? / How much time will you stay in China? ? I ate too much food.
