E.g.

I can’t get a hold of John. Nobody knows where he went.

wetsuit = a tight type of suit worn by people going scuba (skoo-bah) diving, surfing, etc

to get one’s hands on something = to obtain, to get

I’m meeting my friend later = it is certain that I will meet my friend later

I was supposed to / (going to meet my friend later), but = it is not certain that I have met / will meet my friend later.

I have appointment with my new friend who is also my new colleague,she is fresh graduate, but she knows Shanghai better than me since she had spend four years in a university of Shanghai.Yesterday she was extremely excited and told me that she got so many places want to take me to, like there was a dessert shop which was on the rooftop of a high building, I could have the palatable desserts meanwhile I could enjoy the view. But the guide who is going to take me to doesn’t answer my phone.

Yesterday she was extremely excited and told me that she had so many places she wanted to take me to, among which was a dessert shop on the rooftop of a high rise. I was actually quite looking forward to nibbling on some cake while enjoying the city skyline, but the guide who is going to take me to doesn’t answer my phone.
