Grammar 语法

Using an “-ing” verb like a noun is called nominalization. For example, you can say “I’m thinking about getting a car” the same way that you say “I’m thinking about food.” The “-ing” makes the verb phrase act like a noun.

Expressions 成语

The phrase “to pass away” means “to die.” If you say that a person has passed away, it is the same thing as saying that a person has died.

Ex. Last week, his grandfather passed away.

Original: Two weeks ago I reported to the driving school. I wanted to study driving after I went to Iran. Before I have been to many countries but I never think about to have a car. This time I realize that have a car is more convenient. When I was in Shiraz, I woke up early to see the Nasir-al-Molk-Mosque, it opened at 7:30, I arrived there at 7am. While I was waiting I noticed there were many cars passed away, most of the cars there were 2 or 3 children. I thought they were went to school. So I thought about my childhood. When I was 14, I began to live in school, in fact I don’t like live in the school. From my school to my house it was just 15 minutes if I took a car. So I thought if my parents had a car so I can go home everyday. That’s why I want to learn driving.
