Vocabulary

What – 什么

nerd – someone who is very studious, bookish and socially awkward

e.g. There’s a lot of nerds in the Big Bang Theory.

Episode – one part of a television series.

e.g. I’ve watched many episodes of Sherlock Holmes.

Television series – 连戏剧

e.g. Cassie likes to watch the television series Sherlock Holmes.

Subtitles – 字幕

e.g. It’s easier to watch movies in a foreign language when you have subtitles.

Hot springs – 温泉

e.g. Cassie went to the hot springs when she was in Japan.

subway – 地铁

e.g. The subway is under the ground.

Portion – 一份 a portion of something

e.g. The food portions in Japan were really small.

What is the most efficient type of transportation in your country?

In my opinion, subway is the most efficient type of transportation in my country. For example, it only takes me 2h and 40m from Songjiang to Pudong airport by subway. But it takes 17h or more on foot.
