Atmospheric pressure:  the weight of the air, which feels heavy.

Eg. I think heavy atmospheric pressure will make my heart uncomfortable.

Scar:  built up skin after an injury/cut.

Eg.  When I was a child a mosquito bit me and my skin swelled so I went to the doctor.  He made a little cut in my skin and I got a scar.

When Planting flowers, you have to be patient, especiallyduring the rainy/heavily raining days of the summer.  Last summer my flowers almost died, because they got heavy rainwater and their rootstocks were putrefied. Through this bad experience I learned I should take the flowers into my house in the summer. When I bought new flowers, I decided to pay more attention to them.

A lot of Chinese parents think like this, so when the children are growing up, they still want their parents to decide everything for them. Even many men become a mama’s boy. When I see a tall boy who takes/carries the small bag and his parents take/carry the heavy suitcases, I want to punch him.

Mama’s boy:  an adult man who needs his mom to take care of things.

Surrounding:  near you/around you.

Damaging:  hurtful/causes damage.

Eg.  Those mean words you said to me were damaging to my heart.

Equipped:  to have

Possess:  to own and to have

Own:  it’s separate from you

Have:  you have it, without trying.
