Tony, my English teacher suggested me a very good website with a lot of English articles. Yesterday I read about working out and today about American movies. Well, it was more about how the Americans talk about movies. And because I am a big fan of movies, especially in English language, this article was for me very interesting (profitable?) I think watching English movies is a perfect way, how to be more familiar with this foreign language (how to get used to using English sentences, vocabulary, phrases, etc.)
In this article I found out, that a synonym for movie is a flick ( e.g. Horror flicks). I had never heard about this word before. This word comes from the word flicker. In the past movies in the cinema had not a good quality (the equipment for watching movies was also not advanced) and the light between pictures was flicker.
Another a very interesting word from this article is movie theater. Nowadays I think this word lose the favor, because everybody is used to saying cinema.
The last helpful word, which I can remember, is a blockbuster. The blockbuster is a movie, which became a big hit, a lot of people saw it in the cinema and it made a lot of money. For this year was a movie La la land definitely a blockbuster.

Tony, my English teacher, suggested me a very good website with a lot of English articles.

Yesterday I read about working out and today about American movies. Well, it was more about how the Americans talk about movies.

And because I am a big fan of movies, especially in English language, this article was very interesting for me / (profitable to me)

I think watching English movies is a perfect way how to be more familiar with this foreign language (and to get used to using English sentences, vocabulary, phrases, etc.)

In this article, I found out that a synonym for movie is a flick ( e.g. Horror flicks). I had never heard about this word before. This word comes from the word flicker.

In the past, movies at the cinema were not a good-quality (the equipment to watch movies was also not advanced) and the light between pictures flickered.

Another very interesting word from this article is movie theater. Nowadays I think this word is losing the people’s favors, because everybody is used to saying cinema.

The last helpful word (which) I can remember is a blockbuster. A blockbuster is a movie, which became a big hit and that a lot of people saw it at the cinema and that made a lot of money.

For This year, the movie La la land was definitely a blockbuster.
