Michael Zhou lives for food. His culinary adventure stared in 1985 when he graduated from a cooking school in Shanghai, and has since gained more than 30 years of culinary experience in various establishments such as Hilton Shanghai, Bornbon Street, Shasa’s and Laris Fine Dining Restaurant. Michael worked with chefs who come from different countries, with all those experience he not only learned cook both the western and Chinese food but also enlarger his pursuit of cooking.
“I love travelling to different countries, and I love eat. I could taste their culture and get new inspiration.”
Moments like these turned Michael in to a leader of the kitchen, he began the executive chef at Marco Polo Xiamen and Sheraton Wenzhou one after another. In the year 2011, he moved back to his hometown Shanghai and be the executive chef of Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Pudong. With a career that taken him from different areas allowed him to understand the needs of many different guests.
“I always fully pensioned for customer service, I’m committed to producing a consistent and quality culinary experience to ensure every guest satisfy and happy.” Chef Michael said
