Vocabulary

the cast – the actors in a show or movie

e.g. The cast of Fargo is supposed to be very good.

episode – one “segment” of a season (tv show)

e.g. The first episode of the second season of House of Cards is crazy.

fiancé – the person you’re engaged to is your fiancé

e.g. I just got engaged. My fiancé gave me a huge ring.

to be engaged – means you’ve promised to marry someone

e.g.

engaging – someone or something is very interesting and you’re very “occupied” with it or the person

e.g. This TV show is very engaging. I watched the first episode and I was immensely interested right away.

right away – right now

e.g. I’ll finish the assignment. When? Right away!

Assignment – a homework “assignment”, homework

e.g. I usually don’t give my students too many assignments.

Correction

I have had two crazy days, Wednesday and Thursday felt never-ending. I thought Friday would never arrive. This morning I went to my Chinese lesson and after I had lunch with my boyfriend I took a very long nap. My tv show, my cat sleeping beside me and a two hour nap. Just what I needed.
Now maybe I need a strong coffee in order to not look like a zombie, but I have enough time to recover for tonight’s dinner with friends. I love the feeling of still having all the weekend to enjoy!

I’m watching by myself Girls and then with my boyfriend we’re watching Homeland, House of Cards and now we want to start with Fargo. I don’t know why but House of Cards didn’t like more than Homeland. I like it but I prefer Homeland. Because maybe both topics of both series are not my favorite topics. Homeland is about terrorism. House of Cards is about politics. I think Homeland is more engaging.
