Graduation robe:  the long robe you wear during the grad ceremony.

Sheer:  a describing word for material that is kind of see through.

Eg.  From my mid leg to the the ground it’s sheer. / from the middle of my legs to the ground..

I’ll walk on a red carpet tomorrow in my my girl friend’s department. Last week, my friend with me went to a street which is placed under the people’s square station to book a dress for the event. There are several shops where you can rent from short dress to long dress, even wedding dress. We tried the dress a lot of time to find the most suitable one for us. And we also need to haggle with the staff.
Eventually, my friend rent the red long Chinese style dress, and I rent a gray shinny dress for four hundred yuan. My back is with V shape and from my mid leg it’s sheer, so I think it’s sexy enough. When we were looking for a dress, I tried a black one, a red one and other colors and types, but all I tried were not suitable for me, because I don’t want to wear too gorgeous one or formal one, we just wear it in our university.
On June 24th, I will walk on a red carpet again, but this time I will walk on my own department with my classmate. So I need to rent one more dress for it today.
