Original: My hometown

I was born and raised in Shanghai. This is my hometown; I’ll always come back here. It is a charming city, integrating the West into old China, traditional with modern culture. It used to be the biggest financial and cultural centre in the Far East, which was called “the Paradise of ventures.” There were a lot of celebrities who lived here and even the Chinese Communist party was born here.

Nowadays, as the biggest financial centre of China, Shanghai has attracted a lot of international companies, and some of them established their Asia headquarters here. Compared to other place in China, the harder you work, the more you can earn, so there is a large amount of people from other places in China. Although they contribute to this city, they also bring some bad habits, some of which are uncivilized and make me uncomfortable. I wish we can build this city together in a better way.
