Vocabulary

Soil (n): 1- the upper layer of earth, in which plants grow.
E.g.: She planted the flowers in the soil.

Dig (v): 1- to make a whole in the ground by moving soil, sand, snow, etc. (Past tense = dug)
E.g.: They dug a tunnel into the bank.

Mining (v): 1- the process or business of digging in mines to obtain minerals, metals, jewels, etc.
E.g.: The region is known for their gold mining business.

Strong (adj): 1- having the power to move heavy weights or perform other physically demanding tasks. 2- possessing skills and qualities that create a likelihood of success.
E.g.: He is a very strong competitor.

Strength (n): 1- physical power and energy. 2- the quality or state of being strong.
E.g.: His communication skills are his biggest strength.

Weakness (n): 1- the state or condition of lacking strength. 2- a quality or feature that prevents someone or something from being effective or useful.
E.g.: The incident exposed his weakness as a leader.

Paragraph (n): 1- a part of a piece of writing that usually deals with one subject, that begins on a new line, and that is made up of one or more sentences.
E.g.: The two first paragraphs were written by the editor.

Confirm (v): 1- to state or show that (something) is true or correct. 2- to tell someone that something has definitely happened or is going to happen : to make (something) definite or official. 3- to make (something) stronger or more certain : to cause (someone) to believe (something) more strongly.
E.g.: The tests confirmed the doctors’ suspicions of cancer.

Approve (v): 1- to believe that something or someone is good or acceptable. 2- to officially accept (an idea, action, plan, etc.)
E.g.: Your supervisor must approve the report before it can be sent.

From what I remember, after graduating from senior high school, I started to study the acoustic guitar. Although studying an instrument is very tiring, I insisted in practicing it.
