Vocabulary

Prefer – to like something more than something else (I love my job but I prefer to paint.)

Improve – 进步 (e.g. I want to improve my English so I can get a better job.)

Industry – means the type of company and what they produce/sell. (e.g. Currently, I work in the fashion industry.)

Last weekend, I went to IKEA in Xuhui. I bought a white desk、a white chair and a black light because I need a big table to learn English. I took a taxi home with my girl friend. I made the furniture all by myself, it took about one and a half hours to finish. I am very happy because I now have a beautiful desk.
