Their life must be very sad, they should be poor or don’t have work and enough money to afford their life not about their education.
I think they want to change their life and the father wants to bring the daughter a bright future but maybe this is in a dangerous way.
Although this is not allowed by the USA law and if they have chance to go to the USA maybe they will be caught by the USA police later and be sent back. There must be some rationales to make them to do this do this dangerous thing.
it’s very difficult to make things go better because just like you said they don’t have a visa they cannot work and how can they afford their life in America.
Im not familiar with north china but I know apparently in shanghai there are some people from Philippines they work as babysitters but it is not allowed by Chinese law. They have good working condition and their strength is that they can speak English. I think for the mid class family they prefer Philippines baby sitters but the risk is this is not permitted by china’s government and the babysitter can be sent back to their country at any time.
I think the agent or the shareholder of the agent can be sent to jail but for the employer but for the family they won’t be go to jail, they just have some fine.
