Speaking exercise

I got another job and at that time I thought it was good.
I started the new job and I found it wasn’t

I remember the first day I started the job, I was a  new comer / I was new and I had to work overtime. / they required me to work overtime on the first day.

You should overtime everyday. / They always work overtime.

half past eight / eight and a half (time)

I thought I needed this job … maybe I didn’t .

I have been there for 2 months and I left last week. -> I stayed there for 2 months and I left last week  / I stayed 2 months and finally decided to quit last week.

It was very busy everyday and every week end you had to go to the office.
They always had meetings or trainings and other reasons…

It is was so terrible, I could only hold it for 2 months. / I could only bear with it for 2 months

The most reason is I still stay at the company is because everyone is so silence. -> The main reason I stayed was because everyone was silent

in the first week I thought nobody said anything. I thought maybe they didn’t talk about anything / they just kept silent

and in the second week I thought nobody likes anyone.

We just always did the work.

it is so tired. -> I felt so tired / it was so tiring

I informed HR by email I wanted to quit on x day / I gave my resignation notice to the HR by email
after this email they found 2 people to handle my work  /  after this email they hired 2 people to do the work I was doing alone.

during the last week I helped hand over my work to the 2 new comers / during the last week I helped with the transition for the 2 new comers.

During the first month I asked HR why I had so much work everyday.

I didn’t think I could finish and I asked her and told her I needed more help. / I felt overwhelmed and asked for more help.

The boss and the HR promised to me they would and they didn’t

The boss had a conversation with me.  He said “I don’t think your work is so much and you can’t finish it. I think you should do it better. I think everyday if you don’t work overtime that means your work is not full. / that means you are not busy enough”

After that conversation I decided to leave

This week I just want to rest.

As you said the winter will come so it is cold outside.
I don’t want to find a job before that.

I don’t think the job market is friendly to people in my age group.

a lot of companies don’t hire women in my age group.  They avoid to hire because they are afraid they may get married and get pregnant.
That means if they hire us they will get some troubles.

It is not easy, I think the popular positions are technical or about EVs and positions in sales.
I don’t have talent for sales.
You should have the technical knowledge of the product.
Salespeople can use many beautiful words and attract people.
Sales people are good with psychology.
