Speaking exercise

my name is Quentin, I am 11.
I can play basketball.
In our school English is pretty easy.

I sit farther away so the teacher can see my body and how I hold the cello.

I do a lot of different things but I don’t really consider them hobbies.

I like snowboarding, I practice snowboard in a mall there is a machine.
It is like a running machine and it feels like snow -> I practice snowboarding in a mall they have a special machine and artificial snow to make you feel like you are on a mountain.

It is my older brother who first started and he left for the US and had a few classes left so I took over and I started to really enjoy it.

I am just learning this for fun.
When I was in first grade I loved reading comic books.
I like them but I am not that passionate

Our teacher said we can’t talk during breaks because we have a lot of HW.
My favorite HW is Chinese because I usually get good grades and the worst in my mind is Chinese -> Chinese is both my favorite subject and the one I fear the most because I usually get good grades but it takes a lot of time.

They ask you to do basic things like reciting passages from the text book.
It is a lot of memory work.

Teachers will call us to help them to give the test to the students / they ask us to help them distribute the corrected tests back to the students.

We have a lot of PE classes. A law says schools need to have at least 5h a week.

We first do pre exercises / warm up
then we run.

Sometimes we have free time which we could choose our favorite sport to play -> Sometimes we have free time and are allowed to pick our favorite sport.

it is the worst food I have ever ate -> the worst I have ever eaten

I think the only thing that is ok is the rice.
I like my grandma’s food it is delicious.
Sometimes I sneak out  and I take snack and go back to do my HW.

It is super busy, you get pushed a lot of work.
My job is to be the host. When they can’t find anyone to be the host they ask me. / I am very often the host of events, when the organizers can’t find anyone they usually ask me.

We have a point system, you can use / spend 20 points to get a chance to be the host but no one does it.

you can buy small items like decorations.
The teacher will give extra points to the top students.
I get about 62 points per semester.

It is true I got a lot of points when I was in third grade.
They give more points to the leader.

Luckily our school also has middle school so they won’t be wasted  / I can carry them over to middle school

last time we had 31 students in our class.

From the good side I will have 4 friends and from the bad side 3
/ I estimate I may be together with 4 friends if I am lucky and 3 if it comes to the worst.

If the teachers are not always so strict I love to go to school.
but it is an if -> If the teachers were not so strict, I would love to go to school

During the last summer vacation I had it 3 times a week but this time I just went there 3 times in 2 months 

We had a party and we just ate and ran and played and drank. We had some juice, soda, soft drinks.
We just ran around had a balloon battle.

The class sings the birthday song when it is someone’s birthday.
