I wanted to go to the countryside to teach kids. I really thought about going there for 1 or 2 years. My mom said I am sure you cannot do that, now I can understand.

I felt work was boring and I heard there might be opportunities to rotate / transfer to Adidas overseas.

They are not quite satisfied and want to change their job but it will bring a lot of risks so you can have a try / you can test things and if it is ok and can maintain your life quality and you can give up your main job. / once your side hustle brings enough money you can leave your main job and focus on it.
For other people they just want to make extra money and that is ok.

Finally some people are very interested in it, if he had enough time I would advise him to paint for others. It can help you insist on doing what you like / it is a way to push you to continue your hobbies.
