Speaking exercise

I prepared food for a lot.
I have experience fighting online for limited supply

People offer services on xianyu / a secondhand marketplace

They help you use machines to buy food. -> they use bots to buy food.

The delivery is ok, but for the last km the staff can not deliver to your building.

I believe the food for a lot of people is shortage -> I believe a lot of people are short on food / people are experiencing a food shortage

The testing management is bad organized -> it is poorly organized

It is a 30 story building / the building is 30 floors high

At first it was only 1 apartment, 3 people got tested positive /were found positive / were infected but now after 30 days of lockdown we already have 4 apartment which got infected.

More than 12 people were tested positive due to the poor testing organization.

You to use the lift to go down and up at once.

The queue is so close to each other. / people are queuing very close to one another.

The government says you must follow/obey the rules. It’s a public emergency measure.

The government asked us to must do the testing at home. -> the government said you must do
the test at home

In our case the rules of the government and the street management are in conflict
The street management doesn’t allow people to do down for the test.

But due to the human resource shortage / due to a lack of people / a lack of medical staff they have abolished/removed the requirement about finishing the test in day. They have to ask us to go down to do it faster.

We have been staying at home for 1 month, no food support, no mental support due to the poor management and disorder we have to face the bad result by ourselves.

If you get tested positive / if you get infected / if you contract the virus your pet might suffer.

Some people brought their pets somewhere for quarantine but the dog followed the owner and they killed the dog and it was shared online.

Maybe you can think the news from online you can believe -> you may think you can believe online news.

3 of them in the family they got the positive result -> all of them were tested positive

I have 2.5 years never seen the real life in one place -> I had not seen real life for 2.5 years

Some people think animals can spread the virus.

Writing exercise

Today  is the 30th day of lockdown. We are facing a sad experiences in physical and mental. We have to get up early to 抢菜 and sleep late to follow the countless information and 抢菜. Bad stories come from digital and real life, which continually updated my common sense, knowledge and endurance. I have to close the door to the online world (using the social media, WeChat) and only takes messages good from my family and friend outside Shanghai, because of the continual flow of negative and misinformation during this period have spread fear. I think that on a country or city scale, social media can be a way for people to gather information, share ideas, and reach out to others facing similar challenges. It can also be an effective platform to relay information quickly during a city or national crisis. However, some study results indicate a link between higher use of social media and an increased risk of depression.

To find peace of mind, I did these 3 thing. Firstly, I plant a pot of mint, by the way, which is the only vegetarian I have got from: ). This little bit ugly mint brings us a sense of lush. Secondly, to help neighbours who need meat, information or medicine. Thirdly, I learn a new word called “digital sunset”. I am going to invite my friend to try the Digital Sunset Challenge this week.

Today  is the 30th day of lockdown. We are facing sad  physical and mental experiences. We have to get up early to compete in speed to get food online and sleep late to follow the countless information and compete again.

Bad stories come from digital and real life, they continually defy my common sense  knowledge and push my endurance beyond the limit. / The bad stories we hear have changed my views, I have learned to be happy by changing my common sense to look positively at everything that is happening.

To find peace of mind, I did these 3 thing. Firstly, I planted a pot of mint, which by the way, is the only vegetable I have got from that online raffle/ contest ).
This slightly ugly mint brings us a sense of lush. Secondly, I helped neighbors who needed meat, information or medicine. Thirdly, I learned a new word called “digital sunset”. I am going to invite my friend to try the Digital Sunset Challenge this week.
