Talk about how you overcame a challenging experience?

When I was at Disneyland, I played the Rocky rides, there were three difficulty levels to choose from, I chose the most difficult one. The first challenge quickly appeared – there were three kinds of ropes in front of me that I had to grab onto to get pass. The first had three assisting ropes, the second had one, and the third didn’t have any assisting ropes to grab onto.

I hesitated for awhile and I decided to pick the third option – which is that I had nothing to grab on when I walked on the log. But before I started, I felt a little nervous so I went back and switched to the second option – where there was one rope that I can hang onto. I felt better and safer so I started to cross the log. When I was crossing, I could hear strangers encouraging me and cheering me up.

Eventually, I crossed the log successfully and I was proud of myself for being courageous and brave. Since it was the last part of the game, I decided to restart all over again and I went on choosing the medium-level path for the entire game. I also saw similar-aged kids who chose this path, but the difference is that they gave up immediately or mid-way. The views of this path option was beautiful there was a cave and an amazing waterfall, I touched the water when I was running through the cave. It was really fun, there were some small jumping pads for me to play too. The river was a bit scary when I was crossing on top of it.

When I was feeling scared, I would always say to myself, take a deep breathe, it helps me to regain my confidence. And this is my tip to overcome any fears/challenges/frightful situations.
