Vocabulary

Physically possible – something that your factory could do
e.g. This design is not physically possible.

Truth be told / To tell the truth – (not “truth to be told”) frankly, straightforward

Contradict – when two things don’t agree, like words and actions (n. contradiction; adj. contradictory)
e.g. She talks a good game, but her actions contradict her words.

To talk a big game – to be able to speak well, to motivate or inspire people, but probably to create expectations you can’t live up to, that you can’t achieve.
e.g. Usually: She talks a big game, BUT . . .

Profit margins – the amount of money you can make after costs
e.g. Designers sometimes don’t understand how the complicated elements of their design destroy the profit margins.

Aspirations – just dreams
e.g. Designers have grand aspirations for their products, but we at the factory have to bring them back to Earth.
