Hello everyone, my toopic today is about a book called Matilda.

miss Honey/miss Trunchball
telekinesis (n): the ability that some people claim to have to move objects, or to make them change shape, using the power of the mind, not physical power
心灵致动,心灵遥感
Scientific evidence for telekinesis – the psychic ability to move objects or bend spoons – remains elusive.
心灵遥感的科学证据,即移动物体或弯曲勺子的心理能力,仍然难以获得。

Around the same time Matilda discovered books she realized that she’s got some special powers, namely, she was able to move things with he eyes

they ignore her because they think that education is not so important and they are pretty annoyed by her reading all the time.

by the age of 4, she was able to read fast and well, so she started looking for new books, and that’s how she found the place in the entire world, the library

At the age of five and a half, Matilda enters school and befriends her teacher Miss Honey

Unfortunately, the headmistress of the school was terrible Ms Trunchball, she loved yelling at the students and she loved to torture the students. Once she threw a girl through the window and another time she forced a boy to eat an entire cake

One day Ms Honey invited Matilda for afternoon tea, and then she revealed her big secret. Ms Trunchball was her aunt and she was torturing Ms Honey her entire life, ever since her father had died. Around this time Matilda realized that she’s got some special powers, she was able to move things by using the power of her mind. She decided to practice so one day she could use her powers against Ms Trunchball. One day when she was ready she decided to play many pranks on Ms Trunchball, and she was so good at it that Ms Trunchball fainted. Later the next day Ms Trunchball escaped and was never seen again.

Matilda continued visiting Miss Honey at her house. One day he saw her parents and her older brother Michael packing,  this was because the police found out that Matilda’s father has been selling stolen cars. Matilda asked her parents to live with Miss Honey, and her parents didn’t mind leaving her behind. Matilda and Miss Honey lived happily ever after as a family
