nerve-wracking (adj): Something that is nerve-racking is difficult to do and causes a lot of worry for the person involved in it.

sequel (n): a book, film, or play that continues the story of a previous book, etc.

mortal (n): an ordinary person, rather than a god or a special, important, or powerful person
凡人,普通人
The police officers guarding the door let in the celebrities, but they prevented us lesser/mere mortals from going inside.

ally (n): a country that has agreed officially to give help and support to another one, especially during a war

ambush (v): to suddenly attack someone after hiding and waiting for them
