This memo probes to help remember the decays the poor management gave us.

Before the formal lockdown, the committee of community casually announced that the community was required to take an overall covid nucleic acid test, during which the whole neighbor would be locked down to assure the accuracy of the testing outcome. We were notified to prepare 2 day’s necessity the lockdown. However, in case of emergency, we decided to set aside a 5-day buffer, thus bought enough food for a whole week. 3 days later, local government officially announced that shanghai was going to be locked down. 10 days later, things turned out to lose control, those infected spread over the whole city, the daily food supply has been cut off. The city was a mess, and the speculators took the chance and manipulate the prices of necessity into a ridiculous place. At the same time, some officials hided in the shade, utilizing their power to monopolize food supplies, and gained a ton of bloody money through it.

Under such condition, we could barely able to buy any seasoning or food, especially vegetables. Compared with meat, vegetables and fruits were much easier to rot. Due to consistent lack of vitamin, our healthy condition became worse every day. We got moody, tired, easy to be pissed off, while still got a lot of jobs to do, and clients to patiently communicate. My roommates got fragile and aggressive, always tried to pour her rage on me, coincidently her boyfriend had been quarantined in company dure to the lockdown. The double pressure was going to kill me, and what’s worse, I just resigned from last employer and joined this new company a couple of days, colleagues were unfamiliar, working method was unclear, a crazy thought came to my mind, to simply escape from this cursed life and return to hometown, and start a new life. At least there would be no more hunger, and no more exploitation.

Struggling for 3 months, my weight plumped by 7 kilos, fitness deteriorates a lot, which affects  sports skills a lot. The landlord says that each day, a dozen of tenants are leaving this city, which gives them bubbles of fascinate and then heartlessly destroyed it.

Until today, the governments, along with the media, still insist that the momentum of economy appears to be “Steadily towards better”, which just like a moon reflected in the surface of water.
