Insurance (n) – 社保 an arrangement by which a company or the state undertakes to provide a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return for payment of a specified premium.
Example – Michael made sure to buy health insurance as he will be travelling overseas.
Pension (n) – 退休金 a regular payment made by the state to people of or above the official retirement age and to some widows and disabled people.
Example – Sherry is reaching to the age of retirement, she will receive access to her pension fund.
