ex: I permed my hair when I was very young.

ex: I look very cute in bangs.

ex: the policemen are in plain clothes. 

5. civilians= 平民
ex: they pretend to be civilians and eavesdrop on the conversations.

ex: can you keep your voice down?

ex: they will vote for me and the party will evaluate your political background.

8.jargon＝ 术语 行话
ex: doctors have their own jargon, if you’re not a doctor, you will not understand.

Culture shock I have ever experienced
There are 2 main culture shocks that I have experienced in US
One is food culture shock, that most of the food are cold and semi produced and put in the cooler/ freezer. I saw people eat and drink everything in cold no matter how’s the temperatures outside. They have cold salad, burgers, and all various drinks. Americans won’t drink ambient drinks which for me it’s a big shock.
The other one is the way of dressing for Americans. When I was in Atlanta, I thought people would dress like what New Yorker’s do in Sex and the city. While the truth is American can dress casual and plain. Basically, they always dress In a very simple and boring way that T-shirt , hoody, jacket and Jeans. They sample don’t have other interesting way of wearing and stylish.
The reasons behind could be that most of them are obese and they are limited by the kinds of clothes they can wear, like skinny dress and pretty blouse is what they want but most of them are not able to wear. TV show could be a imaginary thing most of the time

Culture shock I have ever experienced
There are 2 main culture shocks that I have experienced in US
One is food culture shock, that most of the food are cold or microwavable, they could stored in the and put in the cooler/ freezer. I saw people eat and drink everything in cold regardless of the temperature outside. They have cold salad, burgers, and all various drinks. Americans won’t drink room temperature drinks, which is shocking for me.
The other one is the Americans’ way of dressing. When I was in Atlanta, I thought people would dress like what New Yorker’s do in Sex and the city. While the truth is American can dress in a very casual and plain style. Basically, they always dress in a very simple and boring way like T-shirts , hoodies, jackets and Jeans. They are simply not interesting in dressing up. 
The reasons behind could be that most of them are obese and they are limited to the kinds of clothes they can wear, even if they are into a certain kind of style, they may not fit . TV shows don’t portray the reality/ We shouldn’t be blinded by the portrayed images on TV.
