PART 1: What sports are popular in your country? [Why?]

Badminton is popular in our country, first of all, it’s convenient for people to play it. It only needs two people and you can play it well. THe second one is you don’t need a large tool to play it. Also it’s cheap to buy the tool. If you want more people to join it, it also works. We have two people and four people to play it. I think that’s why it’s so popular.

THe second one is you don’t need many equipments to play it, you just need a racket and a birdie, which aren’t too expensive/ pricey.  Also it’s cheap to buy the tool. If you want more people to join it, it also works. We could play singles or doubles. I think that’s why it’s so popular.

Do you play any games? [Why/Why not?]

I don’t really play sports, I don’t really have spare time to play any sports. Also, I can’t insist it. I really like basketball, even though I don’t play. When I was at junior school, I played the basketball and it was really interesting. It’s really interesting, because you can shoot. It’s very happy that you shoot successfully.

How do people learn to play games in your country?

We usually learn it from school, when they are in primary schoool, they just start to learn to play sports. Our PE teacher would act as our trainer, and teach us the rules and tricks of the sport. We would then play with our classmates to learn and get used to the skills. Every semester/term, we would learn new games/sports with the class. 

Do you think it’s important for people to play games? [Why/Why not?]

I think it’s important for people to play games, it can help us to have a healthy body. When we are playing sports, we can learn how to cooperate with people and it can also an exercise.

PART 2: Describe an open-air or street market which you enjoyed visiting.

I like to visit the Chrismas street market in YP district. It sells a lot of things such as earrings, hats, and the gift box. THe decorations are very beautiful there, you can see some small lights in the evening. It’s very crowded because many people like to go there, especially on Chrismas Day, most of them are girls. it’s as big as a soccer field/ it’s almost 5 times as big as the basketball court/ it’s around 1000 square meter.
