jurisdiction – the place that the police is in charge of

first aid – the help you give to sick or injured people before they can go to the hospital

ex. Police officers are trained to give first aid to people.

occupation – jobs

ex. What is your occupation?

raids – a surprise visit/attack by the police or army

ex. Some police are trained to raid criminal gangs.

plainclothes – not wearing uniform

ex. Detectives usually wear plainclothes because they don’t want to let everyone know they are police.
