Vocabulary

real life example – sth that happened in real life

divert – split

ex. The train track will divert after it crosses the bridge.

flip/flick the switch – turn it on/off

respondents – the people who answer the questionnaire

on purpose – opposite of by accident

ex. The train will hit either groups on purpose.

personal – relating to yourself

ex. The example is very personal because we can put ourselves in that situation.

concierge – the person at the front desk of the hotel

Grammar

put the burger on the shelves – put them on

pull the burger off the shelves – take them off

push sbd off a building/bridge/mountain

Speaking exercise

There’s a train and it’s going to hit a track with 5 people. There is a switch and it can change the train’s path where it will hit just one person.
