layer – pieces of sth on top of each other

ex. Onions have many layers.

ex. Layers of skin/hair/biscuit

carry – move sth while holding it

ex. The man carried a large bag.

tomb – a building/chamber for dead people

resting place – a place for a dead person’s body

Pharaoh – King of Egypt

chamber – a room

ex. A pyramid has many chambers.

tunnel – an underground passage

ex. This tunnel connects the pyramid with the outside.

ex. You can see the tunnel from the tower.

drag – to pull something heavy or difficult to move

ex. The pyramid builders may have dragged the stones across the desert.

ex. Several kids try to drag a bag of rice to their home.

pour water/juice/milk – to let water flow
