Vocabulary

relatives – other people in your family (ex. aunts/uncles/grandparents/cousins)

retire – to stop working because you have reached an age where you don’t have to work anymore

ex. My aunt is happy to retire in two years.

cousin – a child of your uncle/aunt

beg – to ask people for sth

ex. The kids begged their parents to let them go to the concert.

tour – when a band travels around to different places to perform

ex. My favourite band is on tour now.

ex. Famous musicians may go on concert tours for several tours.

thrilled – very happy and excited

ex. The kids were thrilled when their parents agreed to let them go to the concert.

reconsider – to think carefully about something again especially after you’ve already made a decision

ex. Her parents will reconsider if they behave well.
