blame sbd – to say that you’re the one that did something bad

ex. The kids don’t want to be blamed for the messed up pie.

figure out – to find out/understand sth

ex. How did the kids figure out who messed up the pie?

ex. I can’t figure out the answer to this question.

They are afraid of their mum. They don’t want their mum know.

They are afraid that their mum will blame them for messing up the pie.

One day, my son and daughter want to go out and play. I think they must tidy their bedroom first and they are excited to get some fresh air in the house. Then they are tidy their bedroom. After that, they are going out and playing. I baked a pie in the kitchen then I went to vacuum the living room. Some time later I came back, I see my daughter and my son with my messed up pie. I feel weird. Then I asked them and they said, “A bird did it.” They  showed me the bird footprint. Now I know why my pie is mess. Then I give my children some ice cream. Now we are very happy. The end.

One day, my son and daughter want to play outside/outdoors. I tell them that they must tidy their bedroom first and they are excited to get some fresh air outside. Then they are tidy their bedroom. After that, they go outside to play. I baked a pie in the kitchen then I went to vacuum the living room. Some time later I came back and I see my daughter and my son with my messed up pie. I feel confused. Then I asked them. and they said, “A bird did it.” They  showed me the bird footprint. Now, I know why my pie is messed up. Then I give my children some ice cream. Now we are very happy. The end.

I think yes he is, because when he saw the pie is bad, he find the bird and know the bird do it.

I think yes, because when he saw that the pie was bad, he guessed that the bird did it from the footprint.
