Vocabulary

harvest – to gather the crops together

ex. Wheat is harvested and turned into flour.

landfill – a place where all the rubbish goes

ex. There’s a lot of food waste that goes to the landfills.

release gas – to set free

ex. Food waste releases a harmful gas.

buffet – all-you-can-eat

leftovers – food left after the rest has been used

ex. Leftovers from yesterday’s dinner

When you waste food, there will be many rubbish. And the rubbish will be many bad gas.

When you waste food, there will be lots of rubbish, which will release bad gas into the environment.

First, I will have 3 pieces of pizza, so I will buy a little pizza. My parents will also eat the pizza too.

If I want to have 3 pieces of pizza, I will buy a small pizza. My parents can also eat the pizza too/I will share the rest of the pizza with my parents.

I will eat a little bit of that and I will talk to my mother and say, “I don’t like it”.

I will just have a little/bit, and I will tell my mother, “I don’t like it”.

When you don’t have a good meal, tomorrow you will don’t have the snacks too.

If you don’t finish/don’t clean your plate, you will not have any snacks tomorrow.

You will buy the food what you can eat, and when you are done, you feels hungry, you can buy more.

You should just buy food that you can finish, and when you run out of food, you can buy more.

You can’t let snacks to the school.

You can’t bring snacks to school.
